Some people say we should keep our faith to ourselves. This message is a call to rise with boldness, faith, and zeal and having no fear in showing the world what we believe in and stand for.
God is calling us to spread the gospel and carry revival to the ends of the earth. Participating in revival means being open to the Holy Spirit’s work in our lives and communities. It involves actively sharing the message of Jesus, being bold in our faith, and trusting that God is always working, even when we don’t see it.
Why Should Christians Be Bold?
Proverbs 28:1 states, “The wicked flee when no one pursues, but the righteous are bold as a lion.” As Christians, we are called to be bold because we know we are made righteous through Jesus Christ. This boldness comes from our confidence in God’s promises and His presence in our lives.
How Can We Develop Boldness?
Developing boldness involves deepening our relationship with God, understanding His character, and continually seeking to be filled with the Holy Spirit. This empowers us to face challenges with courage and faith.
Exodus 15:3 describes the Lord as a “man of war.” This warrior nature is part of God’s character, and as His children, we are called to reflect this nature. God fights for His people, and we are invited to join Him in this spiritual battle.
Embracing the warrior spirit means standing firm in faith, resisting the devil, and being proactive in spiritual warfare. It involves putting on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:11) and being prepared to face the challenges and opposition that come our way.
What Can We Learn from Jesus’ Zeal?
Jesus demonstrated righteous zeal when He cleansed the temple, showing His passion for God’s house and purity (John 2:17). This zeal should inspire us to have a similar passion for the kingdom of God and the advancement of His purposes.
Cultivating zeal involves being passionate about our faith, standing for truth and righteousness, and being active in our pursuit of God’s presence. It means being consumed with a desire to see God’s glory manifested in our lives and communities.
The Perseverance of Paul
Apostle Paul faced numerous trials, including beatings, imprisonment, and shipwrecks, yet he never gave up. He pressed on with tenacity and perseverance, relying on the Holy Spirit and his unwavering commitment to Christ (2 Timothy 4:7).
Developing perseverance involves keeping our eyes on the eternal reward, staying committed to our faith, and not giving up when faced with hardships. It means pressing forward, finishing the race, and keeping the faith, just as Paul did.
How Can We Apply This Message to Our Lives?
We can challenge ourselves to embrace the spirit of a warrior in our Christian walk. We take an honest look at where we are in life, repent of anything we failed to do and ask God to fill us with the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Might)
1. **Am I bold in my faith?** – Consider areas where you might be holding back and ask God to give you the courage to step out in faith.
2. **Do I have a warrior spirit?** – Reflect on how you can actively resist the devil and stand firm in spiritual battles.
3. **Am I passionate about God’s kingdom?** – Evaluate your level of zeal for God’s purposes and seek ways to cultivate a deeper passion.
4. **Do I persevere through hardships?** – Think about how you handle challenges and ask God to help you develop greater perseverance.
Let’s commit to being bold as lions, embracing the warrior spirit, and passionately pursuing God’s presence. Let’s stand firm in faith, resist the devil, and trust that God is always working on our behalf. As we do, we will see His promises fulfilled in our lives and experience the revival He is bringing to the ends of the earth.
Embracing the spirit of a warrior is essential for living a victorious Christian life. By being bold, passionate, and persevering, we can reflect the character of God and advance His kingdom. Let’s rise with courage and faith, knowing that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world.
